Rolf Jaeger

Rolf Jaeger is an after-hours semi-professional musician. He had two years of formal classical-piano education as a young boy in Germany, and spent his high school and college years continuing his music education on his own. During his university years in Munich, he began playing the bass guitar in jazz and rock'n roll bands. In 1987, he began to work with modern synthesizers. Since then he has performed regularly at the Tri-City Church of Religious Science in Fremont, California. He has played there for the annual World Peace Meditation since 1988 and for Good Friday recitals since 1990.

He is a physicist by education and holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich. He retired from his position as  manager of an R&D Department at Agilent Laboratories (formerly Hewlett Packard Laboratories) in Palo Alto in 2006. He is currently working as independent consultant through SoarentComputing, a PC productivity training and software company he started. He loves the outdoors, whether it be lakes, forests or the ocean, and spends many of his waking hours playing with the wind either on his Hobie 20 catamaran, his windsurfer, or his Gulf 39 Pilothouse Sloop 'Borealis' which has been his home in Marina Bay Yacht Harbor in Richmond, CA, since 2016.
